Laverne Cox and Naeem Khan from the Orange is the New Black (Emmys 2017)
Then Donald Glover made history becoming the first black person to win for best director for a comedy series and also the first director to win for a show he acted in since Alan Alda won for “MASH” in 1977. (Emmy’s 2017)
Then right when you thought it was over, Lena Waithe became the first black woman in Emmy history to win for comedy writing.
And did I mention Thandie Newton’s fine self from Westword was there. Hopefully she will win next year
