2022 was a monumental year for Megan Thee Stallion. Chart-topping music, endless collaborations, and receiving her college degree! Now, the Houston-Hottie can add gracing the cover of Forbes 2022 30 Under 30 issue. 

This is the third time the Houston native has made the coveted list, but this one was special. Megan made history as the first Black woman on the cover. 

 


Forbes estimates the rap star’s 2022 earning’s at $13 million. She amassed most of her fortune through touring, music royalties, and significant endorsements such as Nike, Popeyes, and Revlon

In a behind-the-scenes interview, Meg told Forbes, “$13 million was just the beginning.” 

“I can’t slow down right now. I’ll take a break when I’m dead.” Megan told Forbes. “I’m trying to really build something.” She happily continued. 

“When I start sitting, I feel like I’m not doing enough or I’m giving somebody else the opportunity to pass me.”

She also advised on how “hotties” should learn to budget. 

“Save your money!” Megan added. “I still haven’t made a stupid, crazy purchase. My jewelry is expensive, and my house was expensive, but like outside of that, I’m not buying 100 cars. As soon as I started getting money, I used it on school. Learn how to make your money work for you.”

 

The 27-year-old rapper has captured the hearts of the whole world with her honest lyrics and infectious smile—even fellow rappers. 

30 under 30 alumni Cardi B told Forbes, “She’s so empowering and so sexy. She’s mega-million Megan.”

Born Megan Peete in Houston’s South Park neighborhood, Thee Stallion was bound to be a star.Megan’s late mother, Holly Thomas, inspired her to pick up the mic. She was known in the Houston rap scene as Holly-wood. 

Although the Forbes cover was the cherry on top, 2022 had some tumultuous times for Thee Stallion as well. 

She is still in a nasty legal battle with her former record label, 1501 Entertainment, with over $10 million on the table. 

The trial against music artist Tory Lanez began on Nov. 28 after being delayed for two years. Lanez is on trial for allegedly shooting Megan in the foot during an altercation.
