Must Attend Events For Black Entrepreneurs Looking To Fund & Grow Their Businesses

Black entrepreneurship has been on the rise for the last decade and half. Currently, there are almost 2.6 million black-owned businesses in the U.S.  As the number of black entrepreneurs grows, the number of events, conferences, and platforms designed to encourage this growth have also been on the rise.

There are several events popping up all over the country that target entrepreneurship in the black community. Here are just 3 major ones that will be taking place in the months to come that are a must-attend for any black entrepreneurs looking to fund or grow their business.

The 23rd annual summit will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 6th through 9th. The conference will bring together some of the country’s leading black entrepreneurs, such as Byron Allen and Janice Bryant Howroyd, and is a great networking place regardless of what stage your business is at. According to the Summit’s website, “This is the must-attend event for aspiring business owners, startup founders, and established entrepreneurs looking for mew money-making and growth opportunities for their ventures.”

Taking place in Durham, North Carolina, this conference focuses on early stage black entrepreneurs. Attendees are invited to “celebrate and learn from diverse, multicultural entrepreneurs, their investors and the community that supports them.”  The event will be taking place September 26th-28th.

Black Tech Week

Black Tech Week is taking the show on the road this year. The conference will be coming to a major city near you, including Washington D.C., Atlanta, Detroit, Cincinnati, and more. The festival that is based in Miami “partners with founders, corporations, and the community to create a valuable six-day national experience for investors, entrepreneurs, and techies of every kind.”
