It is being reported that Rihanna has declined to perform at Super Bowl LIII half time in support of former 49ner Colin Kaepernick. US Weekly is reporting an insider revealed to them that, “The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta. They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance.

Kaepernick was the first NFL player to kneel during the nation anthem and has become an international figure for his act. Many believe that act of courage has cost him his career.

After Rihanna refused the offer, the NFL extended it to Maroon 5. It has been reported that Cardi B might be a special guest during Maroon 5’s set at the 2019 championship game at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
