Tracee Ellis Ross’ Collaboration With JC Penny Has Us Smiling

Ever since Tracee Ellis Ross came into our lives as Joan Clayton, the type A personality lawyer with a killer wardrobe, we have been obsessed with her humor, her style, her brains, her… just everything. In our eyes, there is nothing this woman can do wrong. Now, the blackish actress has partnered up with JC Penny to design a 45-piece holiday collection that will be released on November 12th, her birthday. The fact that Tracee is a style icon, both on and off the red carpet, makes this collaboration a fall from the fashion heavens.

“I’m soooooo excited to announce that I’ve partnered with @JCPenney to create a holiday collection that I hope empowers women to embrace their joyful spirit. Each piece was imagined and designed by me!” announced a very excited Tracee on Monday via Instagram to her millions of followers.

What makes this collaboration even more exciting is the diversity in both the style of the pieces and the sizes. AND they are super duper affordable! The prices for the pieces range from $9-$75!

Tracee is following the footsteps of other black actresses that have recently released a collaboration with department stores, such as Gabrielle Union’s designer debut for New York and Company. The star also recently showed off her at times quirky style recently at the 2017 Emmys.

To say we are thrilled for this collaboration is an understatement. Tracee designing pieces that we can actually afford feels like a chance to raid the superstar’s closet and pick out what we love. From flashy dresses to spicy up your holiday parties to suites for the office to comfy wear, nothing of the collection we have seen so far disappoints. Make sure to check out the collection at your closest JC Penny when it launches on November 12th, just in time for the holiday season.
