Yes, the typical entrepreneur at the head of a tech startup we are used to seeing everywhere is male, white, and in his 20s. But Denise Hamilton is none of those things. In fact, she is a black female entrepreneur who launched her tech startup at the age of 47.

WatchHerWork is Denise’s baby. The startup is “a multimedia digital platform that is closing the achievement gap for professional women by providing the much-needed professional advice they need when they need it, how they need it” according to her.

Denise walked away from a successful commercial real estate career to start her tech company. Although the financial risk of being an entrepreneur was the scariest part, she made the leap to go on a journey she’s passionate about.
