Kendrick Is Pure Black Excellence At The Grammys. Period.

He opened the Grammy’s like only Kendrick can. Grand. Speaking truth to power. Hip hop at its best.
But again, Kendrick has never disappointed with his performances or his music. Since the days of his first mix tapes, Kendrick has never compromised his commitment to hip hop at its purest form in order to break into the mainstream. He has achieved mainstream success nonetheless.

Best Rap Song
Best Rap Performance
Best Rap/Sung Collaboration

Yes, we are disappointed Kendrick did not win album of the year, although we can’t say Bruno Mars didn’t deserve it. We are also disappointed that Jay didn’t win anything he was nominated for. Common Grammys, did you even listen to 4:44??!
Although the worth of our artists should not be measured by the number of awards they collect, IT IS so gratifying to watch them get recognized for their art.
Congrats Mr Lamar! #BlackExcellence
