Kevin Curry reminds us that it’s okay to indulge in those favorite foods, especially ones that are healthy for you, too.
How Fit Men Cook Started
In 2012, Curry worked to get back to his desired weight goal when becoming discouraged after seeing a picture of himself on his friend’s Facebook page. He felt sluggish and overweight, all the while his blood pressure continued to rise.
To get back on the right track, he went to a book store and bought books about nutrition and began studying them. With this new knowledge, he started testing out fresh meals in his kitchen by incorporating various proteins, veggies, and more to make great inexpensive meals.
He created his “FitMenCook” blog on Tumblr to share his healthy meals online and develop a strong community around sustainable meals.
His Brand Continues to Grow
From 2012 to the present day, Curry has garnered over 1.6 million followers on Instagram and has expanded the Fit Men Cook name. Curry provides healthy recipes ranging from snacks, vegetarian, vegan, high carb, post-workout, and more. He also includes meal preps to follow, unique challenges, and healthy habit calendars to help stay consistent. In 2018, Curry released his book titled Fit Men Cook: 100+ Meal Prep Recipes for Men and Women – Always #HealthyAF, Never Boring.
Curry continues to grow Fit Men Cook by creating his spices, monthly butcher boxes, and teas for sale to help people on their fitness and healthy eating journeys.
Fit Men Cook encourages people to share their stories through fitness and nutrition and continue growing into their best version.
